I had not been to a dentist in a few years thanks to Covid. This place was AMAZING! Extremely friendly, professional, compassionate and supportive. Plus the place is HUGE so made getting in to see someone very quick and painless. Highly Recommend.

I went here even tho I have major anxiety and panic attacks when it comes to dentists. Due to a very horrific experience with an ignorant rude and cruel dental surgeon in Belleville. I told the staff here and they were amazing. It didn't stop my panic but they certainly did thier best to try and calm me. Didn't rush me at all. I would recommend them 100%

Dr. Saxena is hands down the best dentist I have ever had. His knowledge and the technologies he is using, make going to the dentist a breeze. A crown is done in house within one day! And they fit like a glove. The rest of the team is super friendly too, so 100 out of 100 points.

Moved here from Toronto several years ago and I must say the dental equipments are at par, if not better. Level of service is phenomenal. Shout out to Hygienist Holly, who is amazing at what she does. Has soft and gentle touch when working on your teeth, with matching good singing voice to make you forget you’re sitting on a dental chair. Good Job!

Each of us is unique, with differences in age, lifestyle, diet, medication use, and more influencing the condition of our teeth and gums. A whitening solution that’s effective for someone else might not yield the same results for you. Moreover, over-the-counter whitening products might pose risks to your gums.

Choosing our professional teeth-whitening service offers several key benefits over generic options:

Tailored to You: Our approach begins with understanding your concerns about your teeth’s appearance, your goals for the whitening treatment, and your overall expectations. After a comprehensive assessment of your teeth and gums, we recommend the most suitable whitening method tailored to the results you wish to achieve and your dental health.

Expertise in Application: Our dental professionals are thoroughly trained in the latest teeth whitening techniques and products, ensuring the procedure is safely and effectively carried out.

Significant Enhancements: We employ prescription-level bleaching agents, among the most potent available, for deep and effective whitening.

Rapid Transformation: Professional whitening delivers outstanding results, often in just a single session.

Uniform Whitening: Unlike retail whitening kits, which can lead to patchy results, our method ensures consistent whitening across all areas of your teeth, thanks to our detailed application technique.

Comfort and Safety: Our process includes advanced techniques, such as laser treatments, to reduce sensitivity and protect your gums during whitening.

Optimal Timing for Teeth Whitening

Our dental experts advise that teeth whitening procedures do not affect the color of dental crowns, bridges, veneers, or fillings. Hence, it’s wise to consider teeth whitening before planning any restorative work such as crowns, fillings, or veneers that may be on the horizon. This allows our dentists to color-match any forthcoming dental restorations to the new, lighter shade of your whitened teeth.

Professional teeth whitening is effective in eliminating surface stains as well as those embedded deeper within the teeth, offering a comprehensive solution to discoloration.

Causes of Tooth Discoloration and Staining

Surface Staining: The outer layer of our teeth, known as enamel, is the strongest substance in the human body, made up mostly of minerals. Despite its strength, enamel is porous, which means it has tiny openings that can absorb staining substances, leading to discoloration. Common culprits include:

  • Dark beverages like coffee, tea, red wine, and cola.
  • Intense-colored sauces, for example, tomato and soy sauce.
  • Foods and drinks high in sugar.
  • Vivid fruits such as berries, cherries, and pomegranates.
  • Tobacco products.
  • Additionally, inadequate nutrition and oral hygiene practices can contribute to teeth discoloration.

Internal Staining: Beyond the surface, teeth discoloration can also stem from changes within the tooth. The layer beneath the enamel, known to have a naturally yellow or gray hue, can become more visible as we age and the enamel layer thins. This process can make the teeth appear more dull or discolored. Factors like certain medications, illnesses, and dental injuries can affect this inner layer, further altering tooth color.

Leading Options for Brightening Your Smile

Teeth whitening is a non-invasive method to enhance the brightness of your teeth, avoiding the need for procedures such as veneers. Achieving noticeable results without enduring sensitivity can be accomplished by having your teeth professionally whitened in our office.

In-Office Professional Whitening

For many individuals, the most effective approach to achieving a brighter smile is through professional whitening treatments conducted in our office. This method involves applying a bleaching agent to your teeth with specially crafted trays. The process is enhanced with the use of a laser, which gently warms the solution, activating the oxygen molecules that break down stains on the enamel. This technique not only provides instant improvements but also minimizes the chance of sensitivity and irritation to the gums.

Frequently Asked Questions

The durability of professional teeth whitening results can vary based on individual habits and oral hygiene. Typically, the effects last from one to three years. To prolong the whitening effects, it’s recommended to avoid staining foods and beverages, use a straw when possible, and maintain a regular oral hygiene routine including professional cleanings.

Yes, professional teeth whitening is safe for tooth enamel when conducted under the guidance of a dental professional. The products used are specifically designed to minimize risk while effectively lifting stains from the teeth, ensuring both the safety and health of your enamel.

Professional teeth whitening is highly effective at removing external stains caused by foods, drinks, and smoking. However, it may be less effective for stains that are intrinsic or caused by certain medications, trauma, or fluorosis. Your dentist can assess your specific situation and recommend the best course of action.

Some patients may experience temporary sensitivity to hot or cold temperatures after a professional whitening treatment. This sensitivity is usually short-lived, lasting no more than a few days. Your dentist might recommend specific toothpaste for sensitive teeth or other remedies to help manage any discomfort.

The ideal candidate for professional teeth whitening has healthy, unrestored teeth (no fillings) and gums. Individuals looking to brighten their smile due to staining from coffee, tea, cigarettes, or aging are good candidates. Your dentist will evaluate your oral health and discuss your cosmetic goals to determine if professional whitening is suitable for you.
